C60 Fullerene is a molecule composed of 60 carbon atoms. They are in a cage-like spherical and hollow shape, resembling a soccer ball. It’s also referred to as buckminsterfullerene and buckyballs.
Naturally occurring in the form of soot or ash, C60 is chemically inert. It is not soluble in water and is physically inactive. C60 has a unique structure and very interesting physical properties. These have been fascinating medical researchers for years.
